MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL REVIEW

BANGKOK

We managed the stay at The Oriental Bangkok in early May in the Deluxe Garden view room.

There’re many advantages that we can’t list them all out.
As some of the reviewers stated here, we checked-in after we were brought the room. Butler introduction and welcome drinks followed.

The bathroom is very large, tub and shower are separated. We also found double sinks, bath salts and shaving cream here, which were not often seen in other BKK hotels.

The welcome fruits are different every day. Butler is always nearby 24 hours ready for serving you.

There’re a lot of restaurants in the hotel, high class French restaurant, Ciao, Lord Jim’s, BBQ dinner, Bamboo bar and breakfast area. We once had a lunch buffet at Lord Jim’s, which was fantastic and wide variety of selection. it is from 11 - 3pm, so actually it is a brunch and allow you to have enough time to enjoy and relax. All of its restaurants are very delicious I can promised.

When you stayed there, you always find their staff doing extra for you, which you will be really appreciated. For example, we once asked the butler to reserve a restaurant for us, he not only reserved it, he also go to the Internet and print out the Thai address for us.

One day during our trip is a Thai holiday, we also got a message from the Butler which this was really attentive and warm to be notified.

Their boat provided travel to BTS station, Peninsula Spa and River City, so it is pretty convenient. Unlike Marriott boats, there’s no towel and water provided when boarding.

The only drawback is that the hotel is pretty small, they need to provide extremely attentive service as what they are doing right now to cover this drawback.
